Midday in the markets: Latest status of the stock exchange, euro, dollar, and gold (June 3, 2024)

The stock exchange rose in the first half of the day.

As of 13:00, the index increased by 60.07 points and 0.58 percent compared to the previous close, reaching 10,460.55 points. The BIST 100 index, which closed at 10,400.48 points on Friday, started the day at 10,443.16 points, up 42.69 points and 0.41 percent.

During the first half of the day, the index saw a low of 10,334.77 points and a high of 10,487.31 points.

In the first half of the day, the financial index lost 0.37 percent and the industrial index lost 0.03 percent, while the services index gained 1.85 percent and the technology index gained 0.02 percent.

Compared to the previous close, 50 of the stocks included in the BIST 100 index rose in the first half of the day, while 49 lost value. The most actively traded stocks were Türk Hava Yolları, Türkiye İş Bankası (C), Koç Holding, Tüpraş, and Turkcell.

GOLD OUNCE PRICE AT 2 THOUSAND 327 DOLLARS

The simple yield of the benchmark bond maturing on February 18, 2026, traded in the Borsa Istanbul Bond and Bill Market Outright Purchase and Sale Market, was at 38.36 percent and the compound yield was at 42.04 percent as of 13:00 for today's value-dated transactions.

In international markets, as of 13:00, the euro/dollar parity was at 1.0840, the sterling/dollar parity at 1.2700, and the dollar/yen parity at 157.10.

In the Istanbul free market, the dollar is trading at 32.2050 liras and the euro at 34.8940 liras.

The ounce of gold is trading at 2 thousand 327 dollars with a flat trend in international markets, while the barrel of London Brent crude oil is trading at 80.9 dollars, down 0.5 percent.
