Midday in the markets: Stock market remained flat in the first half of the day

As of 1:00 PM, the BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul increased by 0.96 points (a gain of 0.01 percent) compared to the previous close. The BIST 100 index, which closed at 7,547.84 points yesterday, started the day at 7,570.05 points, gaining 22.21 points and 0.29 percent.

During the first half of the day, the index saw a low of 7,532.59 points and a high of 7,585.90 points.

In the first half of the day, the financial index decreased by 0.01 percent and the industrial index by 0.07 percent, while the services index increased by 0.94 percent and the technology index by 0.48 percent.

Compared to the previous close, 49 of the stocks included in the BIST 100 index rose in the first half of the day, while 50 lost value. The most actively traded stocks were Turkish Airlines, Gübre Fabrikaları, Türkiye İş Bankası (C), Pegasus, and Ereğli Demir Çelik.

GOLD OUNCE PRICE AT 2 THOUSAND 37 DOLLARS

In international markets, as of 1:00 PM, the euro/dollar parity is trading at 1.0910, the sterling/dollar parity at 1.2650, and the dollar/yen parity at 145.3.

In the Istanbul free market, the dollar is being sold at 29.8410 liras and the euro at 32.5580 liras.

The ounce of gold is trading at 2 thousand 37 dollars in international markets with a 0.3 percent decrease, while a barrel of Brent crude oil is trading at 78 dollars with a 0.6 percent increase.
