The stock market rose in the first half of the day

Moving with an upward trend in the first half of the day, the BIST 100 index rose by 89.61 points as of 13:00, compared to the previous close, reaching 8,076.08 points. The total trading volume was 45.7 billion liras.

While the banking index lost 0.82 percent in value, the holding index gained 2.46 percent.

Analysts stated that global equity markets started the new week with a mixed trend, noting that domestic markets diverged positively.

International credit rating agency Moody's conducted an assessment of the Turkish economy within its scheduled calendar after the markets closed on Friday evening.

In the statement released by the agency, it was reported that Turkey's credit rating was affirmed at "B3" and the rating outlook, which was previously "stable," was upgraded to "positive."

The statement indicated that the main reason for changing the outlook to positive was "the decisive change in economic policy, especially the return to orthodox monetary policy."

Analysts stated that the data agenda for the remainder of the day is quiet, and noted that from a technical perspective, the 8,100 and 8,150 levels are resistance points for the BIST 100 index, while 8,000 and 7,900 points are support levels.
