Minister Işıkhan gives a date! Additional pension increase differences to be paid within 1 week

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced the date when the additional increase differences for SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees will be deposited into their accounts during his speech at the Veterans of the Century of Turkey Workshop.

Işıkhan stated the following in his announcement:

"Our economy, which continues to grow with stability despite all obstacles and financial crises, our increasing power in the world every day, and our geostrategic position, which is getting stronger every day, impose great responsibilities upon us.

The welfare of our 85 million citizens means the welfare and strength of Turkey. Our retirees are among those who deserve this welfare the most. Our greatest wish is to ensure that our retirees spend this important period in peace, socially, economically, and spiritually. They are the laborers of our country and the veterans of our country.

With the approval of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we declared 2024 the Year of Retirees. We took the first step regarding our Year of Retirees with the additional increase made for our retirees. We provided a 49.25 percent increase for our civil servant retirees for the first half of 2024. By adding an additional 11.68 points to the 37.57 percent increase rate for our SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees, we equalized the increase rates for all our retirees.

We have raised the salary increase rates of our SSK and Bağ-Kur retiree citizens to 49.25 percent, just like the salary increases for civil servant retirees. I wish this to be beneficial for all our retirees.

After the final increase rates are published in the Official Gazette, the resulting monthly differences will be deposited into our retirees' accounts within 1 week. I would also like to express my gratitude to our President, who supports us with his strong will."
