Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek stated, "Our efforts to increase tax justice and reduce informality continue uninterrupted. We are bringing individuals whose monthly expenditures exceed 5 million TL and who do not declare any income under audit to tax their actual earnings."
Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek made a statement regarding tax audits by the Tax Inspection Board (VDK) on the social media platform X.
'Those with monthly expenditures of over 5 million TL who do not declare income will be taxed'
Stating that their efforts to increase tax justice and reduce informality continue uninterrupted, Minister Şimşek shared the following information:
We are bringing individuals whose monthly expenditures exceed 5 million TL and who do not declare any income under audit to tax their actual earnings.
Businesses that do not pay their taxes by collecting payments via IBAN or “mail order” methods are also being investigated.
We will continue to pursue those who cause tax loss and evasion, thereby generating unfair gains and creating unfair competition.
