Minister Şimşek's 'disinflation' statement: 'We are entering a period of permanent decline'

Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek made evaluations regarding his first year in office in a post on X.

Noting that their economic programs are working and that they will continue with their implementation, Şimşek said that the peak in annual inflation has been left behind and that they are entering a period of significant and permanent decline in inflation.

Emphasizing that the budget deficit is high, Şimşek stated, "Although bringing inflation down to single digits is arduous, we will succeed by implementing our program with determination. We are determined to reach all our goals."
