Morhipo to shut down on October 17

Founded in 2011 under the Boyner Group umbrella, the online shopping platform Morhipo merged with Boyner Büyük Mağazacılık A.Ş. in 2020. Following this merger, Morhipo continued to operate as before, with no changes made to its domain name or branding. However, things are now changing for Morhipo.

MORHİPO CLOSES ON OCTOBER 17, 2023

According to SMS and emails sent to its users, Morhipo is closing on October 17. From this date forward, Morhipo users will only be able to make purchases through the Boyner website. While there is no additional statement on the matter, it is worth noting that this was an expected development.

Following the transfer procedures in 2020, in accordance with relevant legislation, Boyner Büyük Mağazacılık A.Ş. became the party to the contracts between Fırsat Elektronik Tic. ve San. A.Ş. and its users. Similarly, the permits and approvals granted to Fırsat Elektronik Tic. ve San. A.Ş. were transferred to Boyner Büyük Mağazacılık A.Ş. due to the merger. In other words, all rights to Morhipo were already fully held by Boyner, but no changes had been made for three years following that transfer.

We can say that this change is now taking place. It would not be wrong to call this the end of an era for the Turkish e-commerce ecosystem.
