Natural gas subsidy increased from 112-312 liras to 188-438 liras per month
The Ministry of Family and Social Services announced that the natural gas subsidy provided to citizens has been increased from 112-312 liras to 188-438 liras per month under a new regulation.
The Ministry issued a written statement regarding the new natural gas regulation announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan following the Cabinet Meeting.
Stating that an annual allocation of 900 to 2,500 liras per household was previously provided for natural gas subsidies, the statement noted the following:
"With our new natural gas regulation, we have increased the annual amount we will allocate to our citizens to between 1,500 and 3,500 liras. In this context, we have regularized our payments to be made over 8 months during the winter period. Thus, we are increasing the natural gas subsidy we offer to our citizens from 112-312 liras per month to 188-438 liras per month."
