The Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) has made changes to the "Regulation on the Acceptance and Withdrawal of Deposits and Participation Funds, and on Deposits, Participation Funds, Trusts, and Receivables Subject to Statute of Limitations." The decision was published in the Official Gazette today and has entered into force.
Accordingly, while approval was granted to provide the opportunity to create separate pools for participation accounts based on the contract type, the daily unit value calculation table was removed by amending the regulation regarding "Deposits and Participation Funds."
MUST BE PROVEN FIRST
The decision states that in order to protect the rights and interests of individuals, no account, including credit accounts, can be opened on behalf of individuals, no account limit increases can be made, and no collections can be made from credit accounts without verifiable consent or a request.
Furthermore, it was announced that the BRSA has been granted the authority to change the minimum limit amount of 250 Turkish Liras for accounts subject to the statute of limitations, upon obtaining the opinion of the Fund.
