New authorizations from the CBRT for payment and electronic money companies
The Central Bank has granted operating licenses and expanded existing ones in the field of electronic money and payment services through new decisions regarding three payment companies.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) has taken significant decisions regarding companies operating in the field of payment and electronic money. The Central Bank granted operating licenses to Hangipara Elektronik Para ve Ödeme Hizmetleri AŞ and Logo Ödeme Hizmetleri AŞ, while expanding the existing scope of operations for Paratika Ödeme Hizmetleri AŞ.
The decisions in question were published in today's issue of the Official Gazette and have entered into force. Accordingly, under the Law on Payment and Securities Settlement Systems, Payment Services and Electronic Money Institutions, Hangipara will be able to both provide payment services and issue electronic money.
Within the framework of the same regulation, while Logo Ödeme Hizmetleri AŞ was granted an operating license in the field of payment services, the scope of authority for Paratika Ödeme Hizmetleri AŞ was expanded, paving the way for it to offer more services.
