New regulation for short selling transactions on Borsa Istanbul

Borsa Istanbul has introduced a new regulation for short selling transactions following a 2 percent fluctuation in the BIST 100 index. Within this scope, the "uptick rule" will be in effect until the end of the session for transaction rows where short selling is permitted in the equity market.
Borsa Istanbul AŞ announced this change via the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP). The statement included the following: "Due to the 2 percent change that occurred in the BIST 100 index as of 10:01:59, the uptick rule will be applied to short selling transactions until the end of the session."
