Number of paid employees increased by 2.6 percent annually
The total number of paid employees in the industrial, construction, and trade-services sectors increased by 2.6 percent in October 2023 compared to the same month of the previous year.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced the Paid Employee Statistics for October. Accordingly, the total number of paid employees in the industrial, construction, and trade-services sectors increased by 2.6 percent in October compared to the same month of the previous year. While the number of paid employees was 14 million 891 thousand 949 in the same month of the previous year, it reached 15 million 277 thousand 929 in October 2023.
When looking at the sub-details of paid employees; in October 2023, the number of paid employees decreased by 0.6 percent annually in the industrial sector, increased by 12.2 percent in the construction sector, and increased by 2.7 percent in the trade-services sector.
NUMBER OF PAID EMPLOYEES REMAINED UNCHANGED MONTHLY
The total number of paid employees in the industrial, construction, and trade-services sectors remained unchanged in October 2023 compared to the previous month.
When looking at the sub-details of paid employees; in October 2023, the number of paid employees decreased by 0.4 percent monthly in the industrial sector, increased by 0.6 percent in the construction sector, and remained unchanged in the trade-services sector.
