Number of 'possibilities' for minimum wage rises to 5: How much will it be?

The Minimum Wage Determination Commission, which concerns millions of employees, will meet on December 1. The meeting, which will include representatives from labor, employers, and the government, will also feature 2 workers on the labor side. So, how much will the minimum wage be? 

5 SCENARIOS STAND OUT

In the Central Bank's latest Inflation Report, it was projected that inflation would be 65 percent by the end of 2023. 

There is a parallel target in the Medium-Term Program (OVP). The Central Bank's inflation expectation for 2024 is 36 percent. 

According to current estimates, a raise between 40 and 50 percent is calculated for public officials and retirees. It is estimated that the raise rate for minimum wage earners could also approach these figures.

Here are those 5 scenarios:

If the raise rate is 35 percent, the minimum wage will be 15 thousand 392 Turkish Lira and 70 kuruş.

If the raise rate is 40 percent, the minimum wage will be 15 thousand 962 Turkish Lira and 80 kuruş.

If the raise rate is 45 percent, the minimum wage will be 16 thousand 532 Turkish Lira and 90 kuruş.

If the raise rate is 50 percent, the minimum wage will be 17 thousand 103 Turkish Lira.

If the raise rate is 55 percent, the minimum wage will be 17 thousand 673 Turkish Lira and 10 kuruş.
