Number of retirees who will receive 0% raise revealed: Here is the table

TUIK announced June inflation at 1.38 percent. The six-month inflation difference was calculated at 24.73 percent.

Thus, the raise that retirees will receive has been determined. 

According to the report by Erdoğan Süzer from Sözcü; because the inflation raise is applied to the base salaries of retirees, approximately 3.6 million retirees will receive a zero raise in July.

For example, for retirees whose base salary is 6,500 liras and who have been receiving a monthly salary of 10,000 liras since the beginning of the year with Treasury support, the base pension will rise to 8,107 liras. However, the money they receive will remain at 10,000 liras. 

In other words, this retiree will have received no raise at all. Similarly, a zero raise will be applied to all retirees whose base pension remains below 8,020 liras. 

Millions of low-income retirees whose base pension is above 8,017 liras but below 10,000 liras will also have to settle for a raise lower than 24.73 percent.
