Payment schedule for holiday bonuses announced

Holiday bonus payments for retirees as part of Eid al-Adha have begun as of today. Payments will be carried out according to the social security institution the retirees are affiliated with and their pension payment dates.

According to information reported by Türkiye Gazetesi, while approximately 65 billion liras were paid during the Eid al-Fitr period, the total amount is expected to exceed 130 billion liras with the Eid al-Adha payments.

SSK AND BAĞ-KUR PAYMENTS WILL BE MADE ACCORDING TO THE SCHEDULE

Retirees who receive their pensions between May 17-22 under the SSK (Social Insurance Institution) will receive their bonuses on their respective payment days. Those who receive their pensions on May 23-24 will be paid on May 21, and those who receive them on May 25-26 will be paid on May 22.

Under the BAĞ-KUR (Social Security Organization for Artisans and the Self-Employed) system, bonuses will be deposited on May 21 for retirees whose pension day is May 25-26, and on May 22 for those who receive their pensions on May 27-28.

It was stated that payments under the Emekli Sandığı (Retirement Fund) will be made on May 20.

THOSE RECEIVING WIDOW AND ORPHAN PENSIONS WILL ALSO BENEFIT

Beneficiaries receiving widow and orphan pensions will also be paid according to their share ratios. Accordingly, a bonus of 3 thousand liras will be given to those with a 75 percent share, 2 thousand liras to those with a 50 percent share, and 1 thousand liras to those with a 25 percent share.

INCREASE EXPECTED IN TOTAL PAYMENT AMOUNT

According to the information in the report, the total holiday bonus payments made to retirees between 2018 and 2025 reached approximately 430 billion liras. It was stated that with the two holiday payments to be made in 2026, the total amount is expected to approach 560 billion liras.
