Price hike coming for beer
The increase in SCT rates has affected beer prices, with the cheapest beer rising to 70 liras.
With the inflation data announced on July 3, SCT (Special Consumption Tax) amounts were automatically updated, leading to significant price increases in fuel, tobacco, and alcohol products. In this context, price hikes in alcoholic beverages have also drawn attention.
Erol Dündar, President of the Monopoly Dealers Solidarity Association (TBYD), stated in a post on the social media platform X that another beer group has received a price hike. The new prices will be effective as of July 6, 2025. With this change, the cheapest beer has been set at 70 liras.
