Price tags have started changing before the minimum wage hike!

The Minimum Wage Determination Commission has not yet put forward any figures in its first and second meetings.

While the commission's third meeting is awaited with curiosity, a citizen filed a complaint with the Ministry of Trade on the grounds that they could not purchase a product they bought yesterday at the same price today.

306 PRODUCTS ARE BEING SOLD FOR MORE THAN THEIR VALUE

According to the report by Kanal D Haber; teams that took action in Istanbul caught the price tag changes. The result of the inspection of 120 markets caused public outcry. It was determined that 306 products were being sold for more than their value before any hike was even applied to the minimum wage.

It was determined that eggs, which were sold for 110 liras in recent days, are now being sold for 124 liras. The price hike is not limited to eggs.

The price of a liter of milk has exceeded 39 liras. Cube sugar, which had 37.5 liras written on its label, rang up at 39 liras at the checkout.

Butter prices did not stay put either. When the labels were examined, it was determined that butter had been hiked 5 days ago, sausage and eggs 2 days ago, and cheddar cheese and ayran yesterday.
