Raid on Temu Turkey office: Computers seized

Early this morning, teams from the Turkish Competition Authority conducted an inspection at the Turkey office of the China-based digital retail platform Temu. The board's teams searched the office on Wednesday morning and seized various electronic devices.

A company spokesperson speaking on behalf of Temu stated, "We will be in full cooperation with the Turkish authorities," emphasizing that they would act transparently throughout the ongoing process. It was reported that laptops and other desktop devices in the office were taken for examination during the search.

Known for selling low-priced products online, Temu operates under PDD Holdings, one of China's major e-commerce conglomerates. The platform offers products in a wide variety of categories, ranging from clothing to smartphones.

It is noteworthy that this operation at Temu's office in Turkey follows a search initiated at the company's European headquarters in Dublin at the European Union level, regarding suspected irregularities concerning Chinese state subsidies.
