Settlement calendar at Borsa Istanbul changed due to New Year's holiday
Due to the January 1 New Year's holiday, the settlement calendar at Borsa Istanbul has been adjusted. While the settlement of transactions to be carried out tomorrow in the equity market will take place on Friday, January 2, the settlement of transactions dated December 31 has been postponed to Monday, January 5. In the Derivatives Market (VİOP), settlement and physical delivery transactions will not be applied on January 1, 2026.
Due to the New Year's holiday, an adjustment has been made to the settlement dates at Borsa Istanbul. Accordingly, the settlement of transactions to be made tomorrow in the equity market will be carried out on Friday, January 2. The settlement of transactions made on Wednesday, December 31, will be completed on Monday, January 5.
There will be no trading sessions at Borsa Istanbul on Thursday, January 1.
On the other hand, in the Derivatives Market (VİOP), settlement and physical delivery transactions will not be applied on January 1, 2026, for index and equity futures contracts.
It was reported that T+2 physical delivery transactions regarding contracts with a maturity date of December 31, 2025, will be carried out on January 5, 2026.
