Spring atmosphere in the markets: Which investment instrument gained the most this week?
In the first week of December, investment instruments generally gained value. The top performers among stocks, gold, foreign currency, and funds have been identified.
Stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul gained an average of 1 percent on a weekly basis. The BIST 100 index closed the week at 11,007.37 points, showing a 1 percent increase compared to the previous week. During the week, the index saw a low of 10,870.07 points and a high of 11,201.69 points.
In the gold market, the gram price of 24-karat bullion gold in the Grand Bazaar rose by 1.21 percent to 5,788 liras. The Republic gold coin increased by 1.20 percent to 39,030 liras, while the quarter gold coin rose by 1.21 percent to reach 9,695 liras.
In foreign exchange rates, the US dollar increased by 0.07 percent to 42.5150 liras, while the euro rose by 0.71 percent to 49.5840 liras.
In the fund market, investment funds gained 1.21 percent, and pension funds gained 0.86 percent. Among investment funds, the top performers were "fund basket" funds with a 1.77 percent gain.
