State share in Unemployment Fund halved
By presidential decree, the state share taken from the Unemployment Insurance Fund has been reduced from 1 percent to 0.5 percent; the regulation will enter into force on May 1, 2026.
With a presidential decree published in the Official Gazette, a new regulation regarding the state share in the Unemployment Insurance Fund has been put into effect.
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan signed the decision, which reduces the state share collected under the Unemployment Insurance Law from 1 percent to 0.5 percent.
Within the scope of the regulation, which is based on Article 49 of the Unemployment Insurance Law No. 4447, the rate of the state share to be taken from the Unemployment Insurance Fund has been set at 0.5 percent.
It was stated that the decision will enter into force at the beginning of the month following its publication date. Accordingly, the new rate will begin to be applied as of May 1, 2026.
