The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul reached a record level of 9,306.34 points in the first half of the day.

The BIST 100 index, which saw an all-time high of 9,306.34 points in the first half of the day, stood at 9,276.66 as of 1:00 PM, marking a gain of 34.51 points and 0.37 percent compared to the previous close. The total trading volume reached the level of 67.2 billion lira.

While the banking index gained 0.1 percent in value, the holding index lost 0.2 percent. Among sector indices, the metal main industry was the top gainer with 2.49 percent, while financial leasing and factoring was the top loser with 1.22 percent.

Analysts stated that global equity markets began the final trading day of the week with a positive trend, led by technology companies, and noted that all eyes are on the US producer inflation data today.
