Stock market opens with a flat trend (20.03.2024)
The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul opened the day with a 0.03 percent increase at 8,932.48 points.
At the opening, the BIST 100 index rose by 2.60 points and 0.03 percent compared to the previous close, reaching 8,932.48 points.
The banking index fell by 0.28 percent and the holding index by 0.03 percent. Among sector indices, the top gainer was information technology with 0.94 percent, while the biggest loser was securities investment trusts with 1.02 percent.
Following a bullish trend yesterday, the BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul completed the day with a 2.43 percent gain at 8,929.88 points.
While global markets are focused today on the US Federal Reserve's (Fed) monetary policy decisions and the statements of Fed Chair Jerome Powell, risk appetite remains positive, albeit limited.
