Stock market opens with gains: Index hits 9,393 points
The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul opened the day with a 0.52 percent increase at 9,393.46 points.
At the opening, the BIST 100 index rose by 48.48 points, or 0.52 percent, compared to the previous close, reaching 9,393.46 points.
The banking index recorded a 0.25 percent increase, while the holding index rose by 0.31 percent. Among sector indices, the metal main industry was the top gainer with 1.56 percent, while the only decliner was the securities investment trust sector with 0.80 percent.
Yesterday, the BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul followed a bullish trend, closing the day with a 1.62 percent gain at 9,344.97 points, marking its highest daily close of all time.
