Stock market provided the highest returns in September

When financial investment instruments are evaluated on an annual basis, the BIST 100 index provided the highest real return to its investors, at 65.47 percent when deflated by the Domestic Producer Price Index (D-PPI) and 51.04 percent when deflated by the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

Stock market provided the highest returns in September

The highest monthly real return was achieved by the BIST 100 index, at 1.81 percent when deflated by the consumer price index (CPI).

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced the Real Return Rates of Financial Investment Instruments for September. Accordingly, the highest monthly real return was achieved by the BIST 100 index, at 3.14 percent when deflated by the domestic producer price index (D-PPI) and 1.81 percent when deflated by the consumer price index (CPI).

When deflated by D-PPI; among investment instruments, deposit interest (gross) caused a loss of 1.69 percent, the dollar 3.16 percent, gold bullion 3.59 percent, the euro 5.18 percent, and Government Domestic Debt Securities (GDDS) 11.45 percent for investors. When deflated by CPI; deposit interest (gross) caused a loss of 2.96 percent, the US Dollar 4.41 percent, gold bullion 4.83 percent, the Euro 6.41 percent, and GDDS 12.59 percent for investors.

In the three-month evaluation, the BIST 100 index was the investment instrument that provided the highest real return to its investors, at 26.01 percent when deflated by D-PPI and 19.35 percent when deflated by CPI. In the same period, GDDS was the investment instrument that caused the most loss to its investors, at 28.27 percent when deflated by D-PPI and 32.06 percent when deflated by CPI.

According to the six-month evaluation, the BIST 100 index was the investment instrument that provided the highest real return to its investors, at 23.06 percent when deflated by D-PPI and 18.33 percent when deflated by CPI, while in the same period, GDDS was the investment instrument that caused the most loss to its investors, at 39.75 percent when deflated by D-PPI and 42.06 percent when deflated by CPI.

In the annual evaluation, when deflated by D-PPI; among investment instruments, gold bullion provided a real return of 13.96 percent and the euro 7.83 percent to investors; while the dollar caused a loss of 0.01 percent, deposit interest (gross) 21.57 percent, and GDDS 43.30 percent. When deflated by CPI, gold bullion provided a real return of 4.02 percent to investors; while the euro caused a loss of 1.57 percent, the dollar 8.73 percent, deposit interest (gross) 28.42 percent, and GDDS 48.24 percent.
