Stock market rises, gold falls

The Borsa Istanbul BIST 100 index closed the day with a gain of 2.10 percent compared to the previous close. The price of a kilogram of gold fell to 1 million 800 thousand liras.

Stock market rises, gold falls

The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul closed at 7,868.02, up 162.03 points.

The BIST 100 index started the day at 7,792.84 points, gaining 86.85 points and 1.13 percent. Seeing a low of 7,788.61 and a high of 7,900.45 during the day, the BIST 100 index completed the day at 7,868.02 points, an increase of 2.10 percent compared to the previous close. According to AA's report, the technology index gained 1.84 percent, the industrial index 2.16 percent, the services index 2.05 percent, and the financial index 2.15 percent compared to the previous close.

The BIST 30 index closed at 8,241.01 points, up 181.28 points and 2.25 percent compared to the previous close.

Of the stocks included in the BIST 100 index, 88 gained value and 10 declined. Turkish Airlines, Tüpraş, Borusan Mannesman Boru ve Sanayi Ticaret, Astor Enerji, and Petkim were the most actively traded stocks.

PRICE OF A KILOGRAM OF GOLD FELL TO 1 MILLION 800 THOUSAND LIRAS

The ounce of gold is trading at 1,984 dollars in international markets as of 18:25.

In the Borsa Istanbul Gold Market, the price of a kilogram of standard gold fell by 3.6 percent to 1 million 800 thousand liras.

In the Borsa Istanbul Bond and Bill Market's Outright Purchase and Sale Market, the simple yield of the bond maturing on October 1, 2025, with today's value date, was 35.14 percent, and the compound yield was 38.23 percent.

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) announced today's effective exchange rate for the dollar as 28.3685 liras for buying and 28.4822 liras for selling. The TCMB had previously set the effective exchange rate at 28.3281 liras for buying and 28.4416 liras for selling.

In international markets, as of 18:25, the Euro/dollar parity is at 1.0730, the sterling/dollar parity is at 1.2380, and the dollar/yen parity is at 149.8.
