Stock market rises in the first half of the day: Latest on the euro, dollar, and gold

The stock market rose in the first half of the day.

As of 13:00, the index increased by 40.62 points and 0.40 percent compared to the previous close, reaching 10,096.60 points. The BIST 100 index, which closed at 10,055.98 points yesterday, started the day at 10,098.61 points with an increase of 42.63 points and 0.42 percent.

During the first half of the day, the index saw a low of 10,036.41 points and a high of 10,145.43 points.

In the first half of the day, the services index rose by 0.47 percent, the financial index by 0.34 percent, and the industrial index by 0.10 percent, while the technology index fell by 0.90 percent.

Compared to the previous close, 51 of the stocks included in the BIST 100 index rose in the first half of the day, while 48 lost value. The most actively traded stocks were Türk Hava Yolları, Akbank, Türkiye İş Bankası (C), Yapı ve Kredi Bankası, and Sasa Polyester.

GOLD OUNCE PRICE AT 2 THOUSAND 346 DOLLARS

As of 13:00, the simple yield of the benchmark bond maturing on February 18, 2026, traded in the Borsa Istanbul Debt Securities Market Outright Purchases and Sales Market, was at 38.87 percent, and the compound yield was at 42.65 percent.

In international markets, as of 13:00, the euro/dollar parity was at 1.0790, the sterling/dollar parity at 1.2550, and the dollar/yen parity at 156.40.

In the Istanbul free market, the dollar is being sold at 32.2680 liras and the euro at 34.8290 liras.

The ounce of gold is trading at 2 thousand 346 dollars with a 0.4 percent increase in international markets, while a barrel of Brent crude oil is trading at 83 dollars with a 0.2 percent decrease.
