Stock market starts the day with a record! What did it rise to?
The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul started the day at a record level of 10,237.02 points, rising by 0.28 percent.
At the opening, the BIST 100 index rose by 28.37 points, or 0.28 percent, compared to the previous close, reaching 10,237.02 points.
The banking index recorded an increase of 0.68 percent, and the holding index rose by 0.06 percent. Among sector indices, the textile and leather sector was the top gainer with 1.91 percent, while the sports sector was the biggest loser with 3.04 percent.
Yesterday, the BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul followed a bullish trend, closing the day at 10,208.65 points with a 1.62 percent increase, breaking its all-time closing record.
Analysts stated that global equity markets continue to search for direction following the U.S. Federal Reserve's (Fed) decisions on Wednesday, adding that data from the employment report to be released in the U.S. today is expected to influence investor decisions.
