Tesla has started advertising

Elon Musk, despite long opposing the idea of advertising, has decided to turn to ads for Tesla following declining sales.

In a Twitter post in 2019, Musk stated that he "hated advertising" and that they used the money spent on ads to develop better products.

As reported by T24 from The Wall Street Journal, despite Musk's dislike for advertising, Tesla spent approximately 6.4 million dollars on ads in the US in 2023.

Although this figure is significantly higher compared to the 175 thousand dollars spent on advertising in 2022, it remains a very small amount when compared to the investments of other automakers.

Musk agreed to try advertising after the proposal was brought up at a company shareholder meeting in May of last year.
