Tesla to offer pay raises to employees
Electric vehicle giant Tesla is set to offer wage increases to workers at its factory in Germany.
Tesla will make an offer to increase the wages of workers at its factory in Germany. While the exact level of the pay raise, which will be announced to staff in November, is not yet known, a 6 percent increase was implemented last year.
EARNING BELOW INDUSTRY STANDARDS
The decision to raise wages follows a statement from the union, which argued that Tesla employees earn less than the industry average. There is also no collective bargaining agreement in place at Tesla's German factory.
WORKING FOR 20 PERCENT LESS
Tesla employees earn 20 percent less than those at other automotive brands. The factory in Germany employs 11 thousand workers.
