The 2024-2025 difference in pension payments: Minister Işıkhan responds to the much-anticipated question
Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan made a statement regarding the difference that will arise between the pensions of those who will retire in 2024 and those who will retire in 2025, saying, "We are working with our Ministry of Treasury and Finance. We will meet and discuss this with our Vice President." Işıkhan also stated that there is no ongoing work regarding the shortening of working hours.
Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan answered questions from members of the press following the Cabinet Meeting at the Palace.
"Is there any work being done regarding the difference that will arise between the pensions of those who will retire in 2024 and those who will retire in 2025? There are some formulas being discussed in the public eye; is there any clarity on these?" In response to this question, Işıkhan said, "There is no clarity yet; our teams are working, and we are working with our Ministry of Treasury and Finance. We will meet and discuss this with our Vice President."
Minister Işıkhan also replied to the question, "Is there any work being done toward shortening working hours?" by saying, "We have no such work."
