The rise continues at Borsa Istanbul
The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul ended the day with a 2 percent gain, closing at 8,110 points.
Borsa Istanbul saw the BIST 100 index follow a buying trend throughout the day. Starting the day in positive territory, the index rose to as high as 8,148 points as buying continued throughout the session. As the final hours of the day approached, the index recovered yesterday's losses and moved in the 8,110-point band, marking a 2 percent increase in value.
Today at Borsa Istanbul, the factoring and banking sectors stood out as the primary sectors driving the index upward. While there were no sectors moving in negative territory toward the end of the day, the insurance sector followed a flat course. The metal and real estate sectors provided returns below the average, recording a half-point rise. The financial index gained over 2 percent, ranking among the indices with the highest trading volume, while the industrial index showed an increase in the 1 percent band.

Abroad, Asian indices finished the day in positive territory, with the exception of the Nikkei and KOSPI exchanges, while European indices maintained their buying trend toward the close. US indices also started the day on a positive note.
