The week's top gainers and losers on the stock exchange have been announced

Positive developments in global markets, along with the start of a ceasefire and negotiation process between Iran and the US-Israel, have brought a positive atmosphere to Borsa Istanbul. While the BIST 100 index has seen an increase of approximately 25 percent since the beginning of the year, it gained 8.79 percent in value during the week of April 13-17.

Opening the week at 12,968 points, the BIST 100 saw a low of 12,876 points during the week, but closed at its weekly high of 14,073 points. The increase in global risk appetite was effective in this rise in the index.

The banking index finished the week with an 11.6 percent increase, while the industrial index rose by 4.7 percent and the holding index by 7.86 percent.

TOP GAINERS AND LOSERS IN THE BIST 100

The stock with the highest premium of the week in the index was Ral Yatırım Holding (RALYH) with a value increase of 30.40 percent, followed by Gülermak (GLRMK) with 27.59 percent and Kontrolmatik (KONTR) with 24.58 percent.

On the other hand, the stock that lost the most during the week was Efor Yatırım (EFOR), with its share price falling by 27.25 percent. Efor was followed by Dap Gayrimenkul (DAPGM) with a 16.13 percent loss and Kiler Holding (KLRHO) with a 9.93 percent decrease.

Among the companies traded on Borsa Istanbul, Aselsan (ASELS) topped the list in terms of market capitalization. The company's market value reached 1 trillion 817 billion 160 million TL. Destek Finans Faktoring (DSTKF) took second place with 698 billion lira, while Enka İnşaat (ENKAI) came in third with a market value of 613 billion 200 million TL.

Among the most traded stocks, Turkish Airlines (THYAO) took the top spot with a weekly trading volume of 84 billion 832 million lira. Tüpraş (TUPRS) with 62 billion 243 million TL and Aselsan (ASELS) with 60 billion 327 million TL in trading volume were the other prominent stocks.

The performance of the stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul last week allowed investors to start the new week in a positive mood.
