Tourism record from Antalya

As the influx of tourists to Antalya, one of the world's favorite tourism destinations, continues without slowing down, the Antalya Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism has shared the data. The number of tourists arriving in the city between January 1 and December 31 reached 15 million 689 thousand 258. The number of tourists who arrived in the same period last year was 13 million 508 thousand 632, while in 2019, known as the record year, it was 15 million 280 thousand 763. As of December 31, 2023, it has become the new record year in tourism.

When considering only the month of December, 2023 also went down in the records as the best December of all time. While the number of entries in December 2019 was 243 thousand 56 and the number of entries in December 2022 was 295 thousand 783, the number of entries in December 2023 broke a record with 317 thousand 474.

Most tourists from Russia

In 2023, Antalya hosted the most visitors from Russia with 3 million 461 thousand 762 people and an increase rate of 14.10 percent. Russians were followed by Germany with 3 million 363 thousand 510 people and an increase rate of 19 percent, the United Kingdom with 1 million 318 thousand 215 tourists and an increase rate of 14.85 percent, and Poland with 1 million 68 thousand 150 tourists and an increase rate of 39.60 percent. Among the top ten countries sending the most visitors to Antalya were the Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Romania, the Czech Republic, Israel, and Ukraine, respectively.
