Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek has traveled to the US

The Spring Meetings, organized annually by the IMF and the World Bank to address challenges and opportunities in the global economy, have begun.

The meetings, held at a time of rising concerns regarding inflation and geopolitical tensions, will continue in Washington, the capital of the US, until April 20.

Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek, who will represent Turkey at the meetings, has set off for the US.

Şimşek is scheduled to participate in the Global Outlook Forum, which will be organized by the Institute of International Finance tomorrow. Şimşek, who is also expected to speak at an event titled "Turkey: Moving Forward in a Volatile Global Economy" on Thursday, will also attend the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting as part of his program.

Minister Şimşek will also meet with numerous foreign investors within the scope of the meetings, which will be attended by representatives of credit rating agencies, finance ministers of various countries, central bank officials, representatives of the private sector and non-governmental organizations, and academics.
