TÜRK-İŞ states that reports claiming 'minimum wage proposal has been finalized' are unfounded
Following an interview given by TÜRK-İŞ President Ergün Atalay, a statement was issued by TÜRK-İŞ in response to reports suggesting that the 'hunger threshold' would be accepted as the base for minimum wage determination meetings.
Millions of employees have turned their eyes to the minimum wage that will be determined. TÜRK-İŞ issued a statement regarding President Ergün Atalay, stating that the reports claiming their proposal for the minimum wage has been finalized do not reflect the truth.
The statement made by TÜRK-İŞ is as follows:
During an interview with a private television channel regarding the minimum wage at the TÜRK-İŞ General Assembly, President Ergün ATALAY responded to a reporter's question about the Hunger Threshold by saying: “There can be no bargaining starting from the hunger threshold. There is no point in discussing that.”
Following this statement, none of the reports appearing in the public domain claiming that ‘TÜRK-İŞ’s base price for the 2024 Minimum Wage has been determined’ or ‘TÜRK-İŞ’s Minimum Wage proposal has been finalized’ reflect the truth.
The commission members at the table will make this decision following the commission meetings.
Announced to the public, with our respects…
