Accordingly, the country's current account deficit increased by 10.7 percent in the second quarter of this year compared to the previous quarter, reaching 266.8 billion dollars.
The market expectation for the current account deficit, which recorded its highest level since the first quarter of 2022 during this period, was 259 billion dollars. The US current account deficit was recorded at 241 billion dollars in the first quarter of the year.
The ratio of the country's current account deficit to GDP was calculated at 3.7 percent in the second quarter. This ratio was at 3.4 percent in the first quarter of the year.
