Vedat Işıkhan announced: Date set for public sector worker wage increase offer

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan made assessments regarding the negotiations within the scope of the Public Collective Bargaining Framework Protocol.

Işıkhan announced that the initial offer in the collective bargaining process, which concerns approximately 600 thousand workers employed in the public sector, will be presented to the unions after the Eid al-Adha holiday.

Reminding that the contract process is ongoing, Işıkhan stated that TÜHİS, which represents the employer side in this process, has completed its preparations regarding the demands of TÜRK-İŞ and HAK-İŞ.

Pointing out that the process is being carried out under the coordination of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, Işıkhan used the following expressions:

"Hopefully, we will present our first offer to our public sector workers after the holiday. After TÜHİS makes its offer, the negotiation process will begin. I sincerely believe that we will complete this process with a consensus at the table where we come together with our labor unions. I congratulate all our fellow laborers on the occasion of Eid al-Adha."
