Which investment instrument performed best this week?

Here is the weekly performance of investment instruments, from stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul to foreign exchange rates:

Stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul gained an average of 1.06 percent, the dollar/TL rate rose by 0.46 percent, the euro/TL rate increased by 2.15 percent, and the gram selling price of gold rose by 2.46 percent on a weekly basis.

The BIST 100 index, after seeing a low of 7,520.02 and a high of 7,863.99 points, closed the week at 7,853.36 points, gaining 1.06 percent compared to the previous week's close.

THE SELLING PRICE OF QUARTER GOLD ROSE THIS WEEK

The gram selling price of 24-karat bullion gold traded in the Grand Bazaar rose by 2.46 percent this week to 1,830 liras, while the selling price of Republic gold increased by 2.50 percent to 12,300 liras.

The selling price of quarter gold, which was 2,940 liras last weekend, rose to 3,012 liras.

This week, the US dollar gained 0.46 percent to reach 28.6980 liras, and the euro rose by 2.15 percent to 31.1840 liras.

Investment funds gained 0.61 percent and individual pension funds gained 0.10 percent this week.

When viewed by category, the best-performing investment funds were "Fund Basket" funds with a gain of 1.83 percent.
