While stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul fell by an average of 0.63 percent on a weekly basis, the gram price of gold decreased by 0.29 percent, and the dollar/TL exchange rate dropped by 0.26 percent, the euro/TL exchange rate recorded an increase of 0.03 percent.

The BIST 100 index, after seeing a low of 9,768.60 and a high of 10,159.21 points, completed the week at 9,771.16 points, losing 0.63 percent in value compared to the previous week's close.

The gram selling price of 24-karat gold bullion traded in the Grand Bazaar decreased by 0.29 percent this week to 2,749 liras, while the selling price of republic gold fell by 2.02 percent to 18,343 liras.

The selling price of quarter gold, which was 4,617 liras last weekend, fell to 4,605 liras.

This week, the US dollar lost 0.26 percent in value, falling to 33.9790 liras, while the euro rose by 0.03 percent to 37.6970 liras.

Investment funds gained 0.44 percent and pension funds gained 0.50 percent this week.

When viewed by category, the best-performing investment funds were "Stock" funds with a gain of 1.09 percent.
