Will women be able to retire early? The answer to the eagerly awaited question has arrived

A special pension system for women without social security and new regulations that will allow them to collect premiums by taking out optional insurance through Bağ-Kur are coming to the agenda.

Accordingly, the state will cover one-third of the monthly premium payments for women. It is also planned to grant a partial retirement right at 4500 premium days. At the same time, a reduction will be made in the age requirement. On the other hand, reductions in the retirement age based on the number of children may also come to the agenda.

NEW REGULATION ON THE WAY

The Social Security Institution (SGK) has rolled up its sleeves to establish a special pension system for women working at home. Good news that will please women has arrived regarding the new pension system. The new system will be aimed specifically at women without social security. Women who are mothers will be able to take out optional insurance, and one-third of the premiums they pay will be provided by the state.

While those who collect 4500 premium days will have the right to partial retirement, housewives will also be able to benefit from this. Thanks to the state support covering one-third of the premiums collected through optional insurance and the equalization of SSK and Bağ-Kur, housewives will have the advantage of 7200 premium days for early retirement; the partial retirement condition will be reduced to 4500 days, and paying premiums for 10-15 years will be considered sufficient.

NUMBER OF CHILDREN MAY AFFECT RETIREMENT AGE

Reductions in the retirement age based on the number of children may also come to the agenda. Women will also be given additional premium support through the right to wear-and-tear (severance/hardship) credit. Women who earn at least 90 days of wear-and-tear credit for each year they pay premiums will have 900 days of such credit if they pay premiums for 10 years.

The insurance premium support to be provided to women will not exceed 12,000 liras per year. With this support, housewives will earn the right to retire in a shorter time by paying fewer premiums.

A reduction will also be made in the age requirement. Under normal conditions, a 58-year age requirement with 5400 premium days is applied for partial retirement for a woman insured under Bağ-Kur. With the new system, when the premium period for women working at home is reduced to 4500 days, a reduction will also be made in the age requirement.
