EDUCATION SUSPENDED FOR ONE DAY IN 3 DISTRICTS OF ORDU DUE TO SNOW

Education has been suspended for one day tomorrow in some schools in the Akkuş, Kumru, and Ünye districts of Ordu due to snowfall.

In a written statement, the Ordu Governor's Office stated that due to the risk of frost and icing that may occur in higher areas due to snowfall, education has been suspended for one day in all schools in the Akkuş district, except for the Borsa İstanbul Boarding Regional Secondary School and Yeşilgüneycik Primary School.

The statement included the following:

"Education has been suspended for one day on Monday, February 10, for the Kumru district's Yukarıdamlalı Martyr Adem Öğlü Imam Hatip Secondary School, Aşağıdamlalı Martyr Zekeriya Yatı Primary School, Ergentürk Martyr Adem Kamur Secondary School/Imam Hatip Secondary School, Eskiçokdeğirmen Primary School, Güneycik Primary School, Erikçeli Martyr Ali Uysal Primary School/Secondary School, Konaklı Boeing Primary School/Imam Hatip Secondary School, Divantürk Martyr İrfan Ünceli Primary School/Secondary School, Yunus Emre Special Education Practice School, special education students at all levels, and students within the scope of busing education coming from Kayabaşı Neighborhood; and additionally in the Ünye district, for Pelitliyatak Martyr Nejdet Aydoğdu Primary School, Pelitliyatak Imam Hatip Secondary School, Yenikent Primary School, and Erenyurt Primary School."

EDUCATION SUSPENDED IN 2 DISTRICTS OF ÇANAKKALE

In the Yenice and Çan districts of Çanakkale, busing education was suspended on Monday, February 10, due to snowfall and icing. Statements from the District Directorates of National Education indicated that students not using the busing system would continue their education.

In the statement made in the Yenice district, it was said, "Due to adverse weather conditions and the risk of extreme icing, a one-day holiday has been declared for students within the scope of busing education in line with the decision of the District Public Health Board." A similar statement was made for students in the Çan district.

SNOW HOLIDAY IN 3 DISTRICTS OF SAMSUN

In Samsun, busing education was suspended for 1 day in 3 districts due to adverse weather conditions.

In a written statement from the Governor's Office, it was stated that students in some schools with busing services in the Alaçam, Kavak, and Salıpazarı districts of Samsun would be considered on leave for 1 day due to adverse weather conditions.

In the Gerze and Dikmen districts of Sinop, busing education was suspended for 1 day due to adverse weather conditions.

The Silivri district of Istanbul turned white with snowfall that has been effective since the morning hours. However, since there has been no snowfall yet that would cause any negativity, no warning has come from the governor's office regarding schools. The snowfall, which started in Çayırdere Neighborhood, continued as a blizzard in Sayalar Neighborhood. The precipitation, which continues intermittently, is expected to increase in intensity in the higher parts of the district.
