LGS excitement is behind us: Question and answer key published! When will the results be announced?

Both sessions of the central exam under the High School Transition System (LGS), organized by the Ministry of National Education (MEB) for 8th-grade middle school students, have been completed.

The exam took place in 973 centers across Turkey, in a total of 3,938 schools and 62,693 classrooms. Abroad, the exam was administered in 13 centers, 13 different schools, and 37 classrooms.

The question and answer keys for the central exam applied under the LGS have been published on "www.meb.gov.tr".

In the first session, which began at 09:30, students were asked a total of 50 questions from the subjects of Turkish, History of the Turkish Republic and Atatürkism, Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge, and Foreign Language. A duration of 75 minutes was allotted for this section.

The second session began at 11:30. In this section, students answered 40 questions in the fields of mathematics and science within 80 minutes. With the exam ending at 12:50, the central exam marathon was completed.

During the 45-minute break between the two sessions, students rested in the school gardens and attended to their needs.

As of today, the answer key for the central exam has been published on the ministry's official website. Students will be able to obtain their question booklets starting tomorrow if they wish.

In the exam evaluation process, the number of correct and incorrect answers in the sub-tests within the numerical and verbal sections will be calculated. For each test, the student's raw score will be determined by subtracting one-third of the number of incorrect answers from the number of correct answers.

RESULTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON JULY 11

The exam results will be announced on July 11. Result documents will not be sent to students physically.

On the same day, the Secondary Education Transition Preference and Placement Guide will also be published, and the high school preference process will officially begin.

The placement procedures for students who did not take this exam, which is not mandatory, will be carried out through the local placement system.
