Ministry of National Education publishes new sample questions for LGS

According to the statement made by the Ministry of National Education (MEB), new sample question booklets have been prepared and published for the central exam regarding secondary education institutions that will accept students through an exam in the 2024-2025 academic year.

The sample question booklets contain a total of 45 questions, with 10 questions each in the fields of Turkish, mathematics, and science, and 5 questions each in the fields of History of the Turkish Republic and Atatürkism, religious culture and ethics, and English.

The sample questions were prepared based on the subjects and learning outcomes determined in the curricula for 8th-grade Turkish, mathematics, science, religious culture and ethics, History of the Turkish Republic and Atatürkism, and foreign language courses.

The questions were designed to measure students' scientific process skills such as reading comprehension, interpretation, drawing conclusions, problem-solving, analysis, and critical thinking.

In the preparation of the questions, the subject explanations found in the textbooks for the relevant grade level, the methods of teaching these subjects, and the texts and activities related to the topics were taken into account.

The solutions to the questions can also be watched on the "YouTube" channel of the General Directorate of Measurement, Evaluation and Examination Services.
