In Osmaniye, the moments a candidate experienced at the school gate while trying to reach the Field Proficiency Test (AYT), the second session of the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS), at the last minute, caused a wide stir on social media. The moments when the young woman, who arrived running seconds before the exam time expired, could not enter as the door closed were recorded by cameras.
CALL FROM PARENTS TO OFFICIALS
Parents waiting in the schoolyard tried to support the student by calling out to the officials to let her in. However, the doors did not open. The young woman, who could not enter, could not hold back her tears in front of the school.
FOOTAGE UNDER REVIEW
According to the report by Mahmut Özay from Türkiye Gazetesi, the Assessment, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) announced that it is closely following the footage shared in the press and on social media regarding candidates who were late for the YKS. The institution stated that every incident that has emerged, including the video in question, will be evaluated separately and meticulously, and that necessary actions will be taken if any abuse is detected.
