Published in the Official Gazette: New faculties established at some universities

New faculties have been established at 4 universities with a decision published in the Official Gazette, signed by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Meanwhile, 1 faculty and 1 vocational school have been closed.

With the decision signed by Erdoğan, a "Faculty of Political Sciences" and a "Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences" were established at Samsun University.

Furthermore, it was decided to establish the "Institute of Qira'at and Mushaf Studies" at Istanbul Medeniyet University and the "Sarıkamış Faculty of Sports Sciences" at Kafkas University.

It was decided to close the Sarıkamış School of Physical Education and Sports at Kafkas University and the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences at Samsun University.

The name of the Institute of Qira'at Studies at Bingöl University was changed to the "Institute of Quranic Studies and Qira'at," and the name of the Faculty of Engineering at Samsun University was changed to the "Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences."

It was stated that the decision was made in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 7759 dated 1/11/2023.
