The second term in schools began with the theme of 'Love for the Flag'

Millions of students from preschool to high school levels and 1.2 million teachers have returned to their classrooms after a short break. According to the Ministry of National Education calendar, the second term began on February 2, and the summer break will begin on June 26.

Throughout this term, educational activities will continue in more than 760 thousand classrooms across the country. Students will have their second mid-term break between March 16 and 20.

In line with the letter sent by Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin to the governorships of 81 provinces, the theme of "love for the flag" has been highlighted at the beginning of the term. In all public and private schools, the history and national significance of the flag are being explained to students between February 2 and 6. Awareness-raising activities are being organized in schools to strengthen the sense of unity and solidarity.

In this context, while school buildings are being decorated with flags, various painting, poetry, essay, and poster competitions will be organized. Furthermore, students' commitment to national values will be encouraged through exhibitions and cultural-artistic events.
