When are LGS preferences? How to make 2025 MEB LGS high school preferences? How many school choices are allowed?
Following the completion of the High School Transition System (LGS) exam, the preference process will begin to occupy the agenda of students and parents. The LGS, organized by the Ministry of National Education, will be held this weekend. The exam, which will be conducted in two separate sessions—verbal and numerical—will last a total of 155 minutes. Exam results are expected to be announced on July 11. Following the results, students will make their high school preferences based on the scores they have achieved. So, when will the LGS preference process begin? How will preferences be made, and how many choices will students be granted?
The excited wait for the LGS preference process continues. Students who wish to study at a qualified high school will participate in the High School Transition System exam on June 15. After the exam is completed, the preference marathon will begin. The high school preferences made by students must be approved by the secondary school administrations they are affiliated with. So, when will the LGS preference procedures begin, how will they be done, and through which platform will the preferences be carried out?
WHEN WILL LGS PREFERENCES BEGIN?
LGS exam results will be announced on July 11, 2025, via the Ministry of National Education's official website, www.meb.gov.tr.
The high school preference process will begin on July 14 and continue until July 24, 2025. Placement results and remaining vacant quotas will be announced on August 4, 2025.
TRANSFER PROCESS
Applications and results for the 1st and 2nd transfer preferences based on placement will be completed between August 4 and August 14, 2025.
HOW TO MAKE LGS PREFERENCES?
Preference procedures can be carried out by the student and their parent via the address https://e-okul.meb.gov.tr or through any secondary school or imam hatip secondary school administration.
The preferences made must be approved by the relevant school administration.
All candidates, including those with a Central Exam Score, are required to make school preferences within the scope of local placement.
HOW MANY PREFERENCE RIGHTS ARE THERE IN LGS?
Within the scope of Local Placement, students will be able to make a maximum of 5 school choices. The first 3 of these choices must be selected from their own registration area. Additionally, a maximum of 3 schools of the same school type (for example, Anatolian High School, Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, or Anatolian Imam Hatip High School) can be chosen.
