Future Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu cast his vote in Eyüpsultan during the March 31 Local Administration General Elections.
Davutoğlu, who voted alongside his wife Sare Davutoğlu at ballot box number 2274 at Nejat Sabuncu Primary School, wished for the elections to be beneficial.
Davutoğlu made statements here.
Stating that the only way to solve problems is to "make political choices in line with our own views through direct political participation," Davutoğlu said, "As we fulfill this duty, which is a requirement of democracy, I hope that everyone acts with composure and in accordance with the law, and that the tensions and disputes observed in some elections do not occur. The most important responsibility that falls upon each of us is to draw the necessary lessons and conclusions from these elections and to strive to discover better and more beautiful ways to serve our nation together."
Expressing that democratic consciousness in Turkey is very high, that participation generally remains high, and that he hopes for high turnout in these elections as well, Davutoğlu congratulated all voters.
