New election poll from pro-government columnist: Admits AKP is trailing

GENAR Research Chairman and Yeni Şafak columnist İhsan Aktaş evaluated the results of the poll conducted in November in his column.

In his article titled "Recovery in the AK Party, stagnation in the CHP," Aktaş stated that the vote shares between the two parties have balanced out.

Aktaş stated that the CHP's vote share, which had risen to the 34 percent level three months ago, followed a stagnant course in October and was measured at 33.4 percent in November.

Noting that the AKP entered a recovery process during the same period, Aktaş announced the AKP's vote share as 32.9 percent.

Aktaş also stated that the MHP and the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM) maintained their vote shares at 9 percent.

"The measurements we made for the GENAR Turkey Report show that the AK Party is in a recovery trend, while the CHP has reached its vote level from the local elections," said Aktaş, arguing that the results should be examined carefully.

In his article, Aktaş used the phrases, "In the October research, the CHP's rise stopped, while a recovery began in the AK Party. In November, the vote balance between the two parties reached a neck-and-neck point," noting that political balances are in flux.
